We need volunteers who can:

  • Offer a friendly, reassuring face to everyone
  • Prepare and serve food and drinks
  • Operate a till
  • With training, show people reliable sources of advice on health, well-being and how to use an iPad
  • Be entirely trustworthy and guardians of confidentiality
  • Have the personal resources to deal with people at a difficult time in their lives

Duties include:

  • Helping people find and access suitable services
  • Offering tips for physical and emotional health and well-being
  • Sign-posting people to other organisations who can offer further support

Duties include:

  • Serving behind the counter
  • Waiting on
  • Using the till

The Mill- Cafe Assistant Role Description

Volunteer hours are expected to be between 2 and 4 hours per occasion for each role.
